Once you set your foot on the rooting platform, chances are you are going to soft-brick your device at some stage. No matter how safe you are going to play, you might well have to shell out some efforts in bringing your device back to normal. Unless you have a Nandroid backup (which is highly recommended), you might be in for some big trouble. This is where stock firmwares (some refer to it as ‘Stock ROM’) comes into the picture. Just flash the firmware and your device would be back to stock again- as it was out of the box. So below I would be providing the stock firmwares for various Android OEMs. Just click on the device manufacturer’s name below and look for your device. Another point worth mentioning is the fact that different OEMs may have different methods for flashing these stock firmwares. For example in the case of Xiaomi, one has to use a MiFlash Tool for the flashing procedure to be carried out. Whereas in the case of OnePlus devices, you may simply go to the stock recovery of your device and flash the firmware from there. Among the various prerequisites, one which is most obvious yet important is to have an unlocked bootloader. Obvious because most of you might be using a custom ROM or a modified version of the stock ROM- which isn’t possible unless your device is unlocked. Important because you can’t install the firmware on a locked device. Therefore before beginning with the process make sure to unlock the bootloader of your device.
